Return & Refund Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

A pair of boots either works on your foot or it does not, and no photograph settles that question. This page exists so that finding out costs you nothing beyond the trip to the carrier counter.

The short version: you have 30 days from delivery, the prepaid return label reaches you by email within 1 business day of asking for it, return shipping and handling fees are $0.00, and a refund is completed within 7 business days of the returned pair reaching us.

By placing an order with Renew It Shoe Repair (accessible via https://renewitshoerepair.store), you agree to the terms set out below. If your situation is not described here, email [email protected] before doing anything and we will tell you how it works.

1. Key Policy Framework and Timelines

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers every boot bought through our online store, whether the reason for the return is a fault or simply that the pair is not right. A shaft that will not close over the calf, a heel height that felt different on the foot, a color that reads differently in daylight, or a change of mind are all accepted reasons, and so are defects.

Returns travel by mail, and refunds go back in US Dollars to the method used at checkout. In-store repair work is a separate service and is not covered here.

Certain product categories may have specific return conditions noted on the product page. Where product-page terms differ from this general policy, the product-page terms apply.

3. Return Eligibility Criteria

  • Time limit. Email us within 30 days of the delivery date. The date on the carrier record is the one we work from.
  • Item condition. The boots need to be unworn outdoors, with clean soles and no scuffing to the heel or toe.
  • Packaging and tags. Tags still attached and the original box included, since the box protects the shaft on the way back.
  • Proof of purchase. The order number is enough. There is no form to fill in and no receipt to find.

Try them on indoors, on a carpet or a clean floor, and walk around as long as you like. Trying a pair on properly is the whole point of ordering boots to your home, and it keeps the return inside these conditions.

4. How to Start a Return

  1. Email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the pair you want to send back. A reason helps us decide what to stock next, but you do not have to justify the return to us.
  2. We reply within 1 business day with your prepaid return label, ready to print at home or to show at the carrier counter.
  3. Pack the boots in their original box with the tags attached, and affix the label to the outer carton.
  4. Hand the parcel to the carrier named on the label. Keep the drop-off receipt until your refund lands.

No printer at home? Say so in your email and the label comes in a format the carrier can scan from a mobile screen.

5. Return Address

Returns come back to our counter, at the address below. Please wait for the label before sending anything, so the parcel arrives against your order rather than as an unnamed box.

6. Refund Processing and the 7 Business Days Commitment

When the parcel reaches us it is checked within 1–3 business days, and the outcome is emailed to you either way, including in the rare case where a pair comes back outside the conditions above.

Once the return is approved, customers can expect their refund to be completed within 7 business days from the date we receive the returned item. That is our side of the process, and it is a fixed commitment rather than an estimate.

After we release it, a bank or card issuer usually needs a further 2 to 5 business days to post the money to your statement, which is outside our control. If it has not appeared 10 business days after our confirmation email, write to us and we will chase it with the payment processor.

7. No Fees, in Any Form

  • No restocking fee. $0.00, on every return, for any reason.
  • No processing fee. Nothing is deducted for handling the return at our end.
  • No out-of-pocket shipping. The prepaid label we email covers the whole journey back to us.
  • Full purchase price refunded. The amount you paid for the boots comes back in full.

The original shipping charge is refunded too whenever the fault is ours, meaning a defect, damage in transit or the wrong item sent. On a change-of-mind return the original charge is retained, since that journey was already made.

8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Email us within 7 days of delivery with a photograph of the problem and your order number. Cases like this go to the front of the queue.

The outcome is a replacement pair or a full refund including the original shipping charge, whichever you prefer. In most cases there is no need to send the boots back at all. Where we do need them, the prepaid label we email covers it, and you are never asked to pay for the return of something that arrived wrong.

9. Exchanges

The fastest route to a different size or style is to return the pair you have and place a new order, because the new pair then ships immediately instead of waiting for the first one to travel back.

If you would rather exchange directly, we do that too, and shipping is free in both directions: request the return, use the label we email you, and tell us which pair you would like instead. If the replacement has sold out by the time your parcel arrives, we email you the options and refund in full if none of them suit.

10. When Returns Are Not Accepted

  • Items marked final sale or clearance at the time of purchase
  • Boots that have been worn outdoors, washed or altered
  • Items returned without their tags or original packaging
  • Returns with no proof of purchase we can match to an order
  • Gift cards
  • Promotional items received free of charge

If your situation falls just outside one of these, write to us anyway. Cases that sit on the line are looked at individually, and we would rather hear about it than have you assume the answer is no.

11. Summary of the Return Lifecycle

PhaseWindowWhat happens
Request30 days from deliveryYou email us with the order number and the pair going back
LabelEmailed within 1 business day of your requestA prepaid label reaches you by email, ready to print or scan
Transit5–7 business daysThe carrier brings the parcel back to our counter
Inspection1–3 business daysWe check the boots and email you the outcome either way
Refund released7 business daysCounted from the day the returned item reaches us
Funds posted2 to 5 business daysYour bank or card issuer posts the money to your statement

12. Changing or Canceling an Order

Before a parcel leaves us there is no need for a return at all. Email us within 24 hours of placing an order and we will cancel it, with no reason needed and nothing deducted. The refund covers the full order value including the $4.95 shipping charge, back to the method you paid with.

That window is a guide rather than a shutter. Orders sit in our packing queue for 1–3 business days, and for as long as yours is still on the bench and unshipped, a cancellation or a change of size, style, quantity or address gets the same treatment as one sent in the first hour. If the new pair costs more we send a payment link for the difference, and if it costs less the difference goes back to your original payment method.

Two situations sit outside this: final sale or clearance items once packing has begun, and orders already assigned a carrier tracking number. If your situation falls just outside one of these, write to us anyway.

Once a parcel has a tracking number it is with the carrier and we cannot pull it back. Accept the delivery and, if the boots are not staying, email us for a prepaid return label under the terms above. You can also refuse the parcel at the door, in which case it returns to us automatically and we refund in full. Tell us if you do, so we can watch for it.

Occasionally we have to cancel from our side, when a pair turns out to be out of stock, a payment does not clear, or a price was listed in obvious error. You get an email explaining which of those it was, and a full refund including the shipping charge is issued the same day.

13. Return Questions

Tell us the order number and what is wrong with the pair, and the label goes out the same working day wherever we can manage it.
