| Can I bring something in for repair? | Yes. Walk in during our support hours, no appointment needed. |
What payment methods can I use?
PayPal, debit card and credit card, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Every transaction runs through the PayPal gateway, and you do not need a PayPal account to pay with a card. The Payment Policy page covers this in full.
When am I charged?
Once, at checkout, when the order is placed. There are no repeat charges and nothing is stored on a subscription.
Is there a cutoff for same-day handling?
Yes. Orders placed before 5:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday, start handling that day. Anything after that, or over the weekend, starts on the next business day.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Email us within 24 hours with your order number. If it has not left the shop we will still cancel or change it even after that window. The Return & Refund Policy sets out how the refund is handled.
Do you charge sales tax?
Tax is calculated at checkout where applicable, and it shows on the order summary before you pay.
Where do you ship from?
Every order is packed and shipped from Nanuet, New York.
Which carrier will bring my order?
USPS, UPS or FedEx, chosen by destination and parcel size. The carrier is named in your shipping email.
When do I get a tracking number?
As soon as the parcel is scanned by the carrier. You can also look an order up on the Orders Tracking page at any time.
My tracking says delivered and nothing is here.
Write to us. We open the trace with the carrier ourselves, and a confirmed loss is replaced or refunded. You do not have to chase the carrier on your own. The Shipping Policy explains the process.
I typed my address wrong.
Email us as soon as you notice. If the parcel has not gone out we correct it on the spot, and if it has, we contact the carrier on your behalf and try to have it redirected or held.
Do I have to explain why I am returning something?
No. A reason helps us decide what to stock next, but you do not have to justify the return to us.
Who pays for return shipping?
We do. Request the return by email and a prepaid label lands in your inbox within 1 business day, ready to print at home or show at the carrier counter.
How soon will my refund arrive?
The timing is set out in full on the Return & Refund Policy, along with the note about how long a bank takes to post the money afterwards.
Can I try the boots on?
Yes. Try them indoors on a clean floor, with the tags still attached, and they stay inside our return conditions. Outdoor wear is what puts a pair outside them.
My order arrived damaged.
Email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo. We prioritize the case and send a replacement or a full refund including the original shipping charge.
What is in the online range?
Women's knee-high boots and western booties. Both groups are stocked inventory held here and shipped as they are.
Do boots fit like shoes?
Not exactly. A boot has to clear the instep on the way on and sit correctly around the calf once it is there, so shaft circumference and entry method matter as much as length. If a pair is wrong on either count, the return costs you nothing.
How should I look after a new pair?
Wipe the uppers down when they come off, let them dry away from any heat source, and keep the shaft upright so it does not set into a fold. Our journal posts go into the detail.
Are the boots leather?
Material is listed on each product page, and it is the first thing to check before ordering, because care differs between materials.
What can you repair?
Shoes, boots, handbags, belts, luggage and small leather goods. Soles, heels, zippers, stitching, linings and leather restoration are all everyday work here.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in during our support hours and we will look at the item with you at the counter.
How long will a repair take?
It depends on the job and on what is on the rack ahead of it. You get an estimate at drop-off before anything is started.
Can I send something in for repair by mail?
Repairs are handled in person at our Nanuet, New York counter. The online store ships boots out, and it does not run a mail-in repair service.
If your question is not on this page, send it over and we will answer it, and if it turns out other people are asking the same thing it ends up here.
